I don't label myself photo journalist, documentary or portrait photographer simply a photographer. I am involved into image capturing for 15 years, first dealing with moving images during cinema studies in Jerusalem then freezing them out with my Leica stuff.

Editorial reportage has taken me to many interesting cultures overseas and I am often asked weather I have the Greatest Job in the World? well, I can only say I was really happy when I got the assignment, and I was really happy the day I got home.

Description:
Israel Army Checkpoint in Kalandia West Bank, West Bank. Palestine. "Closure, Blockade or Breathing Barriers" The terms coined by the Israeli government do not matter. Many roads in the Occupied Territories are blocked to Palestinian vehicles. The Israeli closure forced on the Palestinian Territories since the beginning of the Aqsa Intifada in late September 2000 has restricted the ability of Palestinians to travel work and go to school to a degree unprecedented in the 40 year occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The internal closure separates Palestinian localities from each other and results in the hampering or complete freezing of the economic political, educational, medical and social service activities necessary for a healthy society. Such a cantonization of the Palestinian Territories is achieved through the use of roadblocks, including destroying the roads themselves, checkpoints and military patrols, all built upon the skeleton of the Jewish settlements.
